Kahlois one of my favourite new Australian labels with their modern minimalistic designs. So it was pretty easy to hit the checkout button on this wanton playsuit from the label (bought from online store olive and finn– who also happen to stock another one of my fave brands ‘viktoria and woods’). The playsuit is perfection with its simple but relaxed fit – I could easily spend my whole weekend in it.

chase.dakota's newcollection 'tropic thunder' is again crazy amazing and all kinds of tropical goodness. I've already got the sea shell neck cuff (outfit post coming soon!) and of course I couldn't resist my current animal crush... the flamingo. Thinking I may also end up with the palm tree too though - I have a tropical problem at the moment. Anything remotely tropicana and I'm hooked!

You an pick yourself up a little piece of the collection from the online shop here or to see more of chase.dakota go here.

Firstly, Happy New Year!!! I hope you celebrated with your nearest and dearest and had a wonderful time! I'd also like to say a big thank you for reading this blog - it really means the world to me and I feel very lucky to have met (or just cyber interacted!) with some amazing people through blogging. Big hugs and kisses to you all!

Okay, now onto the clothes! I'min love with my new witchery dress in this gorgeous bright coral colour that you have to see in person to actually see how amazing it is. I initially bought it to wear to some weddings I have this year but have since worn it pretty much everywhere. I can't resist a good dress! Also, you might have noticed that Sammi from chase.dakota has released her new mini collection 'tropic thunder' (full post on this below). The shell neck cuff is so on trend with all the tropical goodies going around and just screams summer cool-I can't wait to pick up my flamingo one soon too! Sorry for the lack of posting lately! My excuse is pretty lame... but it has just been so seriously hot here the last couple of weeks. The last thing I've felt like doing is (getting out of the pool) going out and doing an outfit shoot (sweaty isn't a good look for me!). So instead of an outfit post here is a little insta-diary update - if you already follow me you'll know I'm quite the regular poster and I have to say instagram is definitely my most favourite social media platform. I love looking back over my photos at the places I've been, food I've eaten, outfits I've worn all neatly placed within my phone. I also LOVE everyone else on my instagram and find myself constantly inspired by other people's photos/adventures. So if you aren't already following me and you like what you see - let's be insta-friends! My username is 'iamkonstantinos'.

Over the weekend it was HOT. Hence my all white outfit with pops of colour provided by my chase.dakota flamingo neck cuff (get it here) and my new etsy neon aztec bag. Also, I chopped off all my hair - not that you can tell properly thanks to the wind! What do you think? I've already got a case of long hair envy.

Bringing gym clothes out into everyday fashion. Who would have thought? I’m actually really fond of the sports luxe look even though my idea of “sport” is hot yoga and the occasional run.

I wore this outfit to the moonlight cinemas the other night which was really nice go if you haven’t. Sitting outside under the moonlight and stars with a picnic and a cider while you watch a flick sure does beat your regular cinemas if you ask me.

I've neverbeen a 'hat' girl. That title was always left to my sister yet over the last few months a few hats seem to have popped into my wardrobe rather seamlessly and I rather like it. It started with my silk baseball cap from zimmermann, now this mint fedora from lack of color and I'm pretty sure I'll be calling a white leather cap my own shortly too. Here's to hats!

PS. Sorry for the lack of posting - every time I sat down to actually edit photos/write a blog it ended with hours of online shopping (which means lots of nice new outfit posts though - huzzah!).

With my trip to America a few mere months away I've started planning my beauty shopping list. Seeing how the last time I spent, oh, about 3 hours looking through Sephora trying to decide which products to buy I thought I'd get organised this time (for the sake of my husband having to spend another 3 hours in Sephora with me) and plan out exactly what it is I need/want. I've been on a beauty buying ban this year with the knowledge of this trip coming up and of course knowing how much cheaper beauty products in a America are compared to here in Australia. So I'm running quite low and am a bit excited to get some new goodies in my stash as well as adding a few new beauty must haves too!

So my list goes:

1. NARS orgasm blush (mine is about to run out so perfect timing) - the suits everyone perfect colour blusher.
2. Philosophy turbo booster - I've heard good things about vitamin C and am keen to give it try.
3. Aesop parsley seed anti-oxidant serum - Yes, I'm a sucker for the cool as packaging but I've heard its really good too!
4. Bumble & Bumble surf spray hair - hoping this can volumise and texturise my flat locks.
5. Cargo bronzer - for some glow.
6. Aesop rosehip lip cream - because my new obsession is rosehip and I want in every beauty product I own.
7. NARS copacabana multiple stick - lusting after this thanks to Harper & Harley's recent beauty post!
8. YSL Touche Eclat Highlighter - one is sold every 10 seconds!
9. Laura Mercier concealer - love how it comes with two shades for blending perfection.
10. Stila eyeliner - I'm determined to start actually bothering about eyeliner.
11. Moroccan oil - I'll be stocking up on this heavenly hair product.
12. Christian Dior Diorshow mascara - always looking for a new mascara better then last.
13. NARS orgasm blush/laguna bronzer duo - the ultimate combination.

Any other beauty products you recommend adding to my list?!

Sorry it's been far to rainy to do any outfit posts so instead I've been online shopping for items I want to add to my upcoming winter wardrobe:

1. Wide brim fedora (hoping lack of color will have one in their winter collection!)
2. 3.1 Phillip Lim mini pashli satchel
3. White leather skirt (just got this guy from asos which will do)
4. Viktoria and Woods dartell sleeveless turtleneck knit
5. Black strappy heels

What are you adding to your winter arsenal this year?

witchery ocelot printed silk top

After editing my whole wardrobe down recently to pieces which should easily mesh with one another and last the test of time a little longer. I realised I cut out a lot, if not most, of my printed pieces (bar a few floral classics). One print that I did keep and find myself still accumulating more of though is leopard/any animal print. Don't know why but apparently when it comes to animal print more is not less for me. This silk ocelot print tee being of my new faves. I wasn't sure exactly what an ocelot looked like (at first glance I thought it was just leopard print) so I've included a little pic of one in case you too weren't familiar.

Whilst I do love a late night online shopping fix there’s nothing that beats that instant satisfaction of going out shopping and finding the perfect addition to your closet. So I've written a little Brisbane city shopping guidefor for those who come to visit my hometown. Enjoy!

BessieHead(Wintergarden, Queens St Mall)
One of my favourite places to check in regularly; Bessie Head stocks my label loves Nicholas, Bassike, Kahlo and the super fab Lonely Hearts lingerie (yes that beautifully lacey cut out bra that you’ve been seeing everywhere!).

ViolentGreen(Elizabeth St Arcade)
Another must shop stop Violent Green stocks essentials like Karen Walker and Lover.

Gorman(Queen St Plaza, Adelaide St side)
Quickly becoming another favourite spot to shop is Gorman. The brand stocks beautifully made (and mostly work appropriate – bonus!) designs in fun fabrics and prints that will have you leaving with a smile on your face.

DavidJones(Queens Plaza)
It’s given us Brisbane girls the actual chance to try on Josh Goot clothing, nuff said.

sass & bide (Queens Plaza)
I think I, along with almost every other girl, wants that awesome grey and blackpolka dot sweater from their recent a/w 13 collection and if that’s not your style I'm sure you’ll be able to find another piece of fashion-y goodness (aka a drop dead gorgeous feathered mini skirt).

Designer Archives (Wintergarden, Queen St Mall)
Specialising in designer resale and consignment,I pop in here every so often hunting for a designer jackpot.

Sheike(Wintergarden, Queen St Mall)
My go-to for when I’m needing a work wardrobe fix like tailored pants or a nice corporate-but-still-fashionable top.

Zimmermann(Queens Plaza, Adelaide St side)
If its summertime and you find yourself in Brisbane and you need a new bikini do yourself a favour and go straight here.

Princess Polly(Adelaide St)
Fun finds that won't break the bank too. They also stock lots of young, emerging designers.

Witchery(Queens Plaza, Queen St Mall)
Another one of my favourite haunts which has been earning me quite the rewards on my membership lately. Witchery just keeps getting better and better at offering up quality, trend of the moment pieces. My essentials this season were there leather joggers and ocelot printed silk top. I’m still tossing back and forth at night over their leopard print coat too.

CountryRoad(Queen St Mall)
Another good place to stop by if your after fashionable but work appropriate outfits.

PeterAlexander(Queens Plaza)
Your one stop pyjama shop.

Aesop(Adelaide St)
The store is beautiful, the packaging is pure simplistic genius and the products... heavenly.

Mecca Maxima(Wintergarden)
Stocking all the good stuff like NARS, Diptyque, Bumble and Bumble, Eve Lom, Kiehl's, Kit, Malin + Goetz, Philosophy, Stila and YSL.

Lush (Myer Centre, Queen St)
You'll leave guilt free knowing all products are animal and enviro-friendly plus the bath bombs smell delicious.

Sportsgirl(Queen St Mall)
Bardot(Myer Centre)
ForeverNew(Myer Centre)
Portmans(Queen St Mall)
Cotton On (Queen St Mall)

Chanel (Queens Plaza)
Tiffany& Co (Queens Plaza)
Louis Vuitton (Queens Plaza)
Hermes (Edward St)
Salvatore Ferragamo (Queens Plaza)
Gucci (Edward St)
Ralph Lauren(MacArthur Central, Edward St)

These are justmy favourites within Brisbane city - I am thinking about doing a guide for Greater Brisbane though, yes? Also feel free to let me know if I've missed somewhere special

I hope you like my guide to shopping my lovely little hometown of Brisbane! For more information on all things Brisbane click here.

PS. Brisbane babes! Don't miss the AJE. Pop Upsale this weekend (March 15-17) at Haute Boheme, Fortitude Valley. Who doesn't love a good pop up sale (especially when it involves sequins!). Click HERE for more deets.

I attended the Scotch & Soda carindale store launch last week. It was the opening of one of their unique and very few tent concept shops and as you can tell from the picture it is basically a gorgeous canvas tent instead of your usual shopfront. Very unique and a nice change of pace from the usual retail spaces - plus it smells amazing (thanks to the stores own scent). The clothing is beautifully crafted and quality timeless pieces can be found in ever corner.

I wore one of my favourites; my KAHLO wanton playsuit. Which can so easily be dressed down or up depending on the occassion. Also wearing a blazer I bought form General Pants years ago now but still remains one of my wardrobe essentials. This winter I plan to search for its black counterpart.

PS. sorry for the big gap between posts! I've been very unwell but am happy to eport I am pretty much all better now - hooray! Just in time to enjoy the upcoming long weekend too!

I recently went to the Brisbane AJE. pop up sale at Haut Boheme, other then the gorgeous AJE. pieces which now filled the store, Haut Boheme is one of those gorgeous shops you wished you had the pleasure of working in because its just so aesthetically pleasing. From the pom pom ceiling to the seashell chandelier to the golden wall and natural textures/decor I was in love. I'm thinking that Chantelle, Haut Boheme owner, has another calling in interior design should she ever feel the itch. For now though ill just have to track down my own beach boho chandelier and try to convince hubby that we do in fact NEED a gold wall in the house.

You can pop in for a visit here: Winn Lane, Fortitude Valley, QLD, AUSTRALIA.

Absolutely crushing on my awesome new Zara cow print shorts (which I was lucky enough to have a kind friend from the UK ship to me - thanks again Harri!). They've been my go-to shorts the last couple of weeks and I love that the print is different but still goes with so much!

Sorry for my short hiatus too - between a crazy time at work and trying to plan the rest of our America trip the blog got neglected a bit! But I'm back now :)

This skirt is wonderful because it fits into my new favourite category of clothing - the versatile section; as in I can wear to work but then out to play (the double score). I bought this after I spotted the gorgeous Eleanor Pendleton from InStyle sporting the white version at MBFWA. You can see how she styled it here

Hope everyone is squeezing every last second out of this perfect weekend!

Loving the exaggerated pockets on this skirt - useful and stylish is always encouraged in my wardrobe. Oh and of course, leather look.

If you haven't already, check out online boutique Lalabazaar for brands like cameo, finders keepers, minty meets munt, lolita, keepsake and more. They promise to be the most affordable online boutique and even offer price beating of 10% if you do happen to find the apple of your eye for cheaper elsewhere ;) just don't blame me for the credit card damage.

PS. They're also running a pretty sweet pop up sale at the moment too.

In the last few months I would say I have had a polka dot explosion - out of about 6 purchases I think 4 have been covered in dots of varying sizes. I am dumbfounded as to how I didn't cotton on to the whole polka dot thing earlier as its such a great way to add a bit of pattern/difference to any outfit without a crazy print (aka a harder piece to pair with others). I think I can honestly say this polka dot knit will NOT be last purchase of the polka dot kind. I also may have just purchased some polka dot wall decals from etsy... I have a problem.

But on to the pants! With thigh high splits I feel like its really best to keep the top part demure (hence the sweater!). As ill always abide by the wise advice of "pick one - boobs or legs" and don't do both cause its just not classy, honey.
